Halfway House Service Model is Well Established    

Praise and thank the Lord! On 1 Jan 2020, Breakthrough Missions and the other halfway houses signed another 2-year MOU on the "Halfway House Service Model" with the Singapore Prison Service. This ceremony was witnessed by the Commissioner of Prisons, Mr Desmond Chin. It marked 10 years of collaboration between Breakthrough Missions and Singapore Prison Service based on this model. 

According to this model, Breakthrough will receive 23 prison inmates who are serving their sentences. They will receive 6-12 months recovery, and counselling courses, to complete their prison parole sentence and reintegrate to society. 

We praise and thank God, that in these 10 years, we have served 471 inmates. In this short period of their life journeys, they receive the love and company of leaders, social workers and staff. After the program is completed, some will choose to reintegrate to society. Others may choose to remain and complete the 18 months of basic foundation program, or even another 18 months Helper program preparing themselves to serve fellow residents in the future.
